Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Dr. Martin Luther King Junior, a short book illustrated by Brandon Collier, tells Martin's whole life from the beginning to the end. In Martin's childhood, he saw white-only signs on the street. Martin’s father was a minister, so Martin Luther King decided to become one also. He wanted to end racism and was inspired by Rosa Parks. Civil Rights protesters started to walk instead of going on the train to support black people, and Martin Luther King was with them. Protesters started getting murdered and hurt, but they still fought for equal rights. Martin Luther King moved and changed the world with his words. This book is great because I'm learning more about Martin Luther King and it helped me a lot. this book had bad and good parts. One of the bad parts is that Rosa Parks got kicked off of the train, from sitting down when a white man told her to get up.
