Wayside School

Wayside School, written by Louis Sachar, says that Wayside School is different from other schools. Wayside School doesn't have a main character.  Each chapter has a new kid or teacher. They all want or do something different. Because of this every problem or solution is different.        For example: in chapter 2, Mark Miller was a new student but no one knew that his real name was Mark Miller. he said that his name was Benjamin Nushmutt. Benjamin Nushmutt had a crush on Mrs. Jewels and wanted to tell her his real name, Mark Miller.  But Mark was too shy and was afraid to tell Mrs. Jewels. I think that this was a good story because It was really funny.  IT was also very interesting.

Hoot

Roy, the main character in Hoot, has some interesting character traits. Roy is very brave. For example, he punched the biggest bully in the school and broke his nose. Similarly, Roy Has been trying to find this kid in the forest that keeps running away from him. Roy is determined. For example,  he never stop trying to find the mystery kid, and he snuck out of the house when it was a rainy storm. Roy is adventurous. He jumps out of the bus to run into the forest to find the mystery kid, and he follows Beatrice into the scary junkyard.

Those Shoes

Those YEET!!! Shoes   Those Shoes, written by Maribeth Boelts, tells it does not matter how being different does not matter. The main character sees that everyone is wearing the same shoes except for him. The shoes are black with two white stripes and a white bottom.  The main character does not have enough money to buy the shoes and his shoes are starting to rip. A teacher offers to give him some shoes.  They are blue and have a cartoon character on them and velcro.  The main character does not like the velcro.  He goes back to class and everyone laughs at him except for one person, Antonio. Antonio plays with the main character.  The main character and his grandma went to buy those shoes. They go to multiple thrift stores to try and find the shoes.  Once they found them they bought them but the shoes were too small.  Antonio came over and the shoes fit Antonio.  The ma...

By My Brother's Side

By My Brother's Side Tiki and Ronde Barber are twin brothers. They both play football but in different positions.  One plays running back in 1 plays safety. Tiki plays safety and his brother plays running back. They play for different teams. Tiki plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Ronde plays for the New  York Giants. When they were young They each had a bicycle and they rode to a construction site.  There was a dirt mound. Ronde biked up the dirt hill all the way to the top. Ronde told his brother he couldn't do it but Ronde’s bike wasn't all the way on the dirt hill. Ronde slipped off and his leg got caught in the bicycle. When he landed on the ground his friend said, “I see something white, I think it's the bone!’’ The doctor said that he might never be able to run again. When the doctor left Tiki and Ronde were outside playing baseball their mom said to come in Randy cannot play because of his leg. But soon enough his leg healed and it was football season. ...

each kindness

Each Kindness, illustrated by E.B. Lewis, tells us that you should be nice to everyone. a new student came and her name is Maya and is weird. The only open seat in the class was next to the narrator, and she looked out the window every time Maya smiled at her.  Later, the students went to recess and no one would play with Maya.  The teacher taught about kindness, and the narrator couldn't think of anything she did that was kind. The next day the narrator wanted to apologize to Maya. When she got to school the teacher told everyone that Maya was not going to come back to school.  The narrator learned to be kind when you get the chance because you might run out of chances. I agree with the message that you should be kind. If I was Maya or the narrator I would feel bad.  I think this book had a good impact on me and it could have a good impact on you. Clearly, the author wanted to tell everyone to be kind and don't be mean to anyone.
