Scouts Honor by Avi tells about three boys trying to rough it by going camping. A boy, the main character, wants to show his friends that he is the toughest out of the group. However, they need to get permission from their parents if they can go. They lied to their parents about a scoutmaster coming with them so they got permission. They decided to go to New Jersey, but they weren't very prepared. When they got to New Jersey, it was raining. They didn't have a tent or food so they all decided to go back home. In the end, they all agreed to never tell the scoutmaster about this. I liked this story because it was very funny. The three boys worked so hard to get to New Jersey but right as they got there they left. After reading this book I learned that to be a leader you need to be honest. The narrator was afraid to say he wanted to go home but when she did the other two said that they did too. He thought that speaking up would make him look weak, but it didn't. I would rec...
