Her hand held the Stars

Her hand held the Stars by Rebecca Birch describes how a little girl that has never seen the Stars gets to see the stars on her hands. The little girl has begged her dad to let her see the stars just once but her dad values education and math more than the stars. So the next night she notices that there is a star pattern on her hands. And when she goes to tell her mother this her mother knows that this would happen. So will the little girl be able to see the stars for the first time or will the little girl be able to see the stars for the first time or will she not read to find out? I really like this book because I was scared for the little girl because I wanted her to see the stars even though her Dad wouldn't let her. I want her to see the stars because I could not imagine never seeing the stars ever which made me sad. I thought this book was interesting because all the characters had different emotions. The little girl girls emotions were that she really wanted to see the stars and she couldn't And it made her feel sad.

Man in the Red Bandanna

Man in the Red Bandanna, a short picture book, describes the heroic acts of one man on September 11th 2001. The main character is a man named wells. he worked at the WTC. on September 11th 2001 two planes crash into his building. Wells was a volunteer firefighters so he wanted to help people by guiding them to safety. However, the stairwells of the building were filled with smoke and some people were injured. So Wells covered his face with his red bandana and help people find their way out. He climbed back up the stairs and help multiple people reach safety he even carried some people.At the end was to not make it out of the building but he will always be remembered as the man in the red bandana.
